Belal Al-Rajoub is a Clinical Application Specialist at Hamilton Medical, where he has been contributing his expertise since 2019. He holds a master’s degree in Intensive Care Nursing from the American University of Beirut, earned in 2015. Between 2014 and 2019, Belal pursued advanced education and training in critical care across three specialized areas. He began his journey in Cardiac Surgery at AUB in Lebanon, followed by Neuro-Critical Care Nursing at the University of Maryland Medical Centre in Baltimore, USA. Additionally, he completed Advanced Training in Mechanical Ventilation at Hamilton Medical AG in Switzerland.

Throughout his career, Belal has contributed to the field of Intensive Care by participating as both a primary and co-author in few research articles.

Alex van Blydenstein is a Specialist Physician and Pulmonologist at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. She holds an MBBCh, DCH, FCP(SA), MMed(Untamed), and CertPulm (PhysSA).

Alex is currently completing her PhD investigating COVID-19, hypoxaemia and the endothelium, and was awarded a Wits Clinical PhD program scholarship. She is a member of the School of Clinical Medicine, Graduate Studies and Research Committee Exco, and on the Internal Medicine MMed protocol assessor committee.

Alex has supervised 13 MMeds that have passed and is currently supervising 10 ongoing MMeds. She has 26 publications. Alex is passionate about research and developing local skills in this arena.
